Lucknow,

18 Dec (HS): Translating the Yogi government's vision of swadeshi,

self-employment and self-reliant India into reality, a grand 10-day divisional

level Khadi and Village Industries Exhibition-2025 is being organised at the

Central Sanskrit University, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow campus under the aegis of the

Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board. This exhibition will be open

to the public from December 18 to 27 2025, in which a total of 130 stalls of

products related to Khadi, Village Industries and Pottery have been set up.

The

exhibition was inaugurated by Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister and

Lucknow District In-charge Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna by cutting the ribbon

at the main gate. On the occasion, he garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi,

inspected the exhibition, and praised the products displayed at various stalls.

In his address, he stated that Khadi is a symbol of India's independence,

homeland, and self-reliance. Mahatma Gandhi, through the spinning wheel, showed

the common people the path to self-reliance, a reality that is now being

realized under the leadership of the Yogi government. Under the guidance of Prime

Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, continuous work is

being done towards cleanliness, promoting indigenous products, creating

self-employment, and empowering youth. The Khadi and Village Industries

Department is playing a vital role in achieving this goal.

Leather

products, Bhadohi carpets, pottery and home decor items made from clay art,

Amla Murabba from Pratapgarh, silk and silk sarees from Varanasi, Bikaneri

papad and namkeen from Rajasthan, coats from Uttarakhand, various types of

bedsheets and handicraft based textiles are the center of attraction in the

exhibition. The exhibition is not only providing quality indigenous products to

the consumers but is also providing a strong marketing platform to the artisans

and entrepreneurs.

On

this occasion, Khadi Board's Joint Chief Executive Officer Siddharth Yadav,

Financial Advisor Manvendra Singh, Regional Village Industries Officer Ajay

Pal, District Village Industries Officer Awadhesh Gautam along with other

officers and employees of the department were present.
