New Delhi, 17 December (H.S.): The domestic bullion market witnessed a significant downturn on Wednesday, with both gold and silver prices tumbling sharply. Gold prices dropped between ₹1,420 and ₹1,540 per 10 grams, while silver recorded a steep decline of over ₹4,000 per kilogram.Due to this broad-based weakness across major Indian bullion markets, 24-carat gold was trading in the range of ₹1,33,850 to ₹1,34,000 per 10 grams today.

Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,22,690 and ₹1,22,840 per 10 grams. The fall in silver prices pushed the shiny metal below the ₹2 lakh mark, with it trading around ₹1,99,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.In Delhi, 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,34,000 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,22,840 per 10 grams.

In Mumbai, the financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,33,850 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,690 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, 24-carat gold retailed at ₹1,33,900 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,740 per 10 grams.Other key metro cities observed a similar trend.

In Chennai, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,33,850 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,690 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, prices remained almost identical, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,33,850 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,690 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,33,900, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,22,740 per 10 grams.

In Lucknow, bullion traders quoted 24-carat gold at ₹1,34,000 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,840 per 10 grams. In Patna, prices were at ₹1,33,900 for 24-carat and ₹1,22,740 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold. Likewise, in Jaipur, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,34,000 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,22,840 per 10 grams.Similar price corrections were also seen across southern and eastern states such as Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha.

In the state capitals Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,33,850 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold hovered around ₹1,22,690 per 10 grams in the local bullion markets.
