Bengaluru, 11 December(HS): Agri Innovation Centre, is a flagship initiative of University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore (AIC–UASB) on the occasion of 60th foundation year is organising “Kr̥ishiVitta – Agri Startup Investor Meet” in collaboration with Global Incubation Services (GINSERV) and the Atal Incubation Centre – Coffee Board of India (AIC-CCRI-CED) on 12th December 2025.

Agriculture is rapidly transforming with the rise of agritech innovations, digital farming solutions, and sustainable production technologies. However, many promising Agri Startups struggle to scale due to limited access to private investments.

Kr̥ishiVitta aims to create a direct connection between high-potential Agri Startups and India’s leading private investors. The event will be conducted in three phases: an Investor Pitching Session where startups shortlisted through the Pre-Pitch Workshop will present their solutions to venture capitalists and angel investors; a Knowledge Workshop featuring sessions for startups, entrepreneurs, and students on key success factors for Agri Startups, strengthening farmer connect through innovation, IDFC First Bank’s startup support solutions, and branding and packaging strategies for emerging ventures; and a Startup Expo showcasing innovative agri solutions.

As a prelude to this flagship event, the 3-day Pre-Pitch Workshop on Pitch Perfect: Investor Readiness Workshop was organised from 2nd to 4th December, and the objective is to train startups on confidently presenting innovation to investors. The programme was supported by the Karnataka State Department of Agriculture. Thirty startups took part in intensive masterclasses focusing on investor expectations, business storytelling, and pitch readiness.

The workshop featured expert-led sessions on preparing startups for investor engagement, covering financial readiness, the structure of a strong slide pitch deck, crafting a compelling business story, developing effective go-to-market strategies, and understanding valuation, funding ask, and equity dilution. It also included insights into the investor mindset to help founders communicate their value proposition with clarity and confidence.

From the pre-pitch workshop, 13 innovative startups were shortlisted for the investor meet and these startups will be pitching to Venture Capitalists, Institutional Investors and Angel Investors.

KrishiVitta- Agri Startup Investor Meet:

DemoDay and Workshop on 12th December 2025:

The event will be conducted in three phases:

- Investor Pitching Session– curated presentations by shortlisted Agri Startups to private investors.

- Knowledge Workshop– expert sessions on success strategies for Agri Startups, building strong farmer connect, IDFC First Bank’s startup support, and branding & packaging for emerging ventures.

- Startup Expo– showcasing innovative agriculture technologies and solutions.

Kr̥ishiVitta will help build more investible agri startups by strengthening their investor-readiness and creating a strong pipeline of scalable ventures from Karnataka and beyond. The event is expected to boost private investment in agriculture by attracting venture capital and angel funding to a sector that remains underserved. With better access to capital, startups can take innovations like precision tools, sensors, AI advisory systems, and post-harvest technologies to farmers faster, improving productivity and incomes. By bringing together incubators, investors, universities, and government partners, the programme will strengthen the overall agritech ecosystem. In the long run, it will also create rural employment, motivate Agri graduates and youth to take up entrepreneurship, and enhance local agri value chains, generating lasting social and economic impact.
