Azamgarh, 11 Dec (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who

arrived in the district two hours later than schedule, reviewed the progress of

the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the Collectorate auditorium. He was

briefed on the current status of the voter list correction and update work in

the district. The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to remove the names of

deceased and duplicate voters, correct incorrect entries, and ensure that no

genuine voter is left out.

On Thursday, at around 12 noon, the Chief Minister arrived at the Police Lines

and at 12:08 pm reached the Collectorate auditorium, where Commissioner Vivek,

DIG Sunil Kumar Singh, DM Ravindra Kumar and SP Dr. Anil Kumar were present. In

the meeting, the progress of the SIR was discussed with the officials. The CM

directed that the voter list at the booth level should be completely correct

and updated. Voters who live outside should be contacted and their SIR should

be filled. He instructed the workers of the organization to go to the ground

level and contact people one-on-one and include those whose names are not in

the list.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, SBSP's National General Secretary, Dr.

Arvind Rajbhar, said that the main topic of the meeting was SIR. He added that

the Chief Minister, after reviewing the database of assembly constituencies,

expressed concern over the number of deceased and suspicious voters. The

organization's workers will be active at the booth level to remove fake voters

and add genuine voters.

Dr. Rajbhar expressed the need for serious discussions on employment for the

state's youth, women's reservation, the Social Justice Committee, and the

Rohini Commission report. He also expressed confidence in the stability of SBSP-BJP

alliance. Following the meeting, Energy Minister AK Sharma stated that more

than four lakh consumers have benefited from the current bill relief scheme.

The 100 percent interest waiver on old outstanding dues has provided

significant relief to villagers. Wherever genuine problems were found regarding

smart meter complaints, they are being resolved by installing check meters.

In the meeting that lasted for about 40 minutes, the Chief Minister made a

comprehensive assessment of the voter list correction and organization

activities of the district and ensured that all the work is completed on time

and error-free. Prison Minister Dara Singh Chauhan and Transport Minister

Dayashankar Singh, Minister Danish, BJP regional president Sahajanand Rai,

district presidents of all three districts, SIR Azamgarh coordinator Nanhku Ram

Saroj, all DMs, district in-charges, SIR coordinators, all MPs, MLAs etc. were
