
New Delhi, 1 December (H.S.): The Republican Party of India (Athawale), a constituent of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is poised to receive recognition as a national political party in the near future, said Ramdas Athawale, National President of the RPI and Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment.
Addressing the media after the party’s national executive meeting held today, Athawale highlighted the party’s recent electoral successes, including winning two seats in the Nagaland Assembly elections and strong performance in Manipur, which have already secured the RPI’s status as a recognized state party.
Athawale revealed that a party executive committee was formed this month in Arunachal Pradesh. He noted that the RPI maintains an active organizational presence across all 28 states and 8 Union Territories, and announced a nationwide membership drive aimed at enrolling two crore new members to further strengthen the party.
upon members present at the meeting, he urged them to champion social justice at the local level under the party’s leadership to earn public trust and contribute to bolstering the organization.He also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the NDA’s overwhelming victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, describing it as the beginning of a new chapter of progress for the state.
Athawale criticized opposition parties and Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly misleading the public with false narratives on voter list revisions and reservation.Detailing the meeting, Athawale stated that discussions centered on expanding the party’s reach through the extensive membership campaign, emphasizing active participation by all cadres to realize the vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He reaffirmed the RPI’s ongoing commitment to fighting for the rights of minorities, farmers, laborers, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes.
Athawale concluded by praising the NDA government’s welfare initiatives over the past 11 years aimed at uplifting marginalized groups, asserting that these programs have fostered nationwide support for Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
