L.K. Advani, a pivotal figure in Indian politics for over seven decades, served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He is also one of the co-founders of the BJP and is credited with its rise as a major political force . He held the position of BJP president for the longest duration and also served as the Home Minister.

His political career began in 1942 when he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of 14. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in 2024, and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
