It will focus on four key verticals: grassroots innovation, semiconductors and artificial intelligence, bamboo-based technologies, and biodegradable plastics. The cluster aims to transform local knowledge into globally relevant solutions.
During his visit, Minister Scindia reviewed cutting-edge research at IIT Guwahati, including innovations in 6G communication and biodegradable polymers. He also highlighted the mission's focus on inclusive growth by felicitating 30 rural women trained in biodegradable toy manufacturing, who will receive support to establish their own micro-enterprises.
Scindia stated that these projects align with the government's Viksit Purvottar (Developed Northeast) vision, which has transformed the region from landlocked to land-linked and future-ready.
