
Mumbai, 03 Nov (HS): The Enforcemet Directorate has seized propetries worth Rs 3,084 crore belonging to businessman Anil Ambani, including jis bungalow in posh Pali Hill area of Mumbai.
The action was
initiated following four different orders issued on October 31, 2025. The
properties seized are not only in Mumbai, but are in Delhi, Noeda, Gaziabad,
Pune, Thane, Hyderabad, Kanchpuram in Tamil Nadu and in East Godawari Region in
Andhra Pradesh, that includes open land, residential and commercial buildings.
The seizer of Anil
Ambani’s property is related to misuse of funds raised through Reliance Home
Finance Limited (RHFL), and Reliance Communication Finance Limited RCFL). Ambani
is facing charges of money laundering and corruption. About 40 properties
related to these two companies have been temporarily seized.
Between 2017 and
2019, Yes Bank invested Rs 2,965 crore in RHFL and Rs 2,045 in RCFL. BY
December 2019 the investment of Rs 1,353 crore in RHFL, and Rs 1,984 crore in RCFL
were termed as Non-Performing Assets. The ED investigated into the issue and
detected loan fraud worth Rs 13,600 crore, of which Rs 12,600 crore was
diverted to Reliance Group companies.
The ED has started
investigation into the Reliance Communication Limited and related
companies. The action against the
Reliance Group companies and their associates has been intensified.
