Kolkata, 03 November (H.S.): West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose has been honoured with the prestigious Malayala Ratna award for his significant contributions to Malayalam literature. The award was presented for his book “Myth and Science — Oru Punarvayana”, which has also been named Book of the Year. The information was confirmed in an official statement issued by Raj Bhavan on Monday.

The honour was bestowed upon Governor Bose during a 10-day International Book Festival held in Kochi. The inaugural session of the festival was presided over by former Union Minister K.V. Thomas. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel formally released 14 books authored by Bose and handed them over to Kochi Mayor M. Anil Kumar during the event.

Expressing his gratitude, Governor Bose said, “I dedicate this award to the people of Kerala and to readers worldwide who have continued to inspire me.”

Bose, who has distinguished himself in the fields of politics, administration, and literature, has been widely praised for this latest recognition, seen as a strong acknowledgment of his multifaceted contributions.
