Lucknow,
26 Nov (HS): On the occasion of Constitution Day (November 26, 2025), Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a speech highlighting the
necessity of respecting the Constitution's principles and cautioned against
degrading the revered document.
Various
events are being held to mark the 76th Constitution Day. In Uttar Pradesh,
programs were held at several locations, including the Lok Bhavan auditorium in
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally attended the mass reading of
the Constitution's Preamble and the oath-taking ceremony. He extended his
heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Constitution
Day.
“Justice,
equality, and fraternity are the fundamental spirit of the Indian Constitution.
Our Constitution, created through the profound vision, sharp thinking, and
tireless efforts of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar,
embodies the world's most powerful democratic values. The Constitution, besides
being the foundation of national unity, integrity, and progress, also provides
every citizen with equal rights, respect, and opportunities,” he remarked.
Respect for the Constitution: CM Adityanath
noted at the gathering that disrespecting the Indian Constitution is an insult
to its principal architect, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
He praised the Constitution as a all-inclusive, all-beneficial
document that boosts trust in democratic ideas.
Democratic Values: He emphasized that the Constitution
has provided the right to vote to every adult citizen since its creation,
regardless of caste, region, or religion, a progressive move that other
democracies have taken far longer to enact.
Political Commentary: Adityanath used the
occasion to bash opposition parties, notably Congress and Samajwadi. Accusing
them of previously attempted to undermine the Constitution's integrity and
fundamental structure, particularly during the Emergency era.
Civic Duty: He urged Indians to adhere to the
values of the Constitution, underlining that a strong and successful India can
only be attained if all citizens carry out their duties.
