Prayagraj,
26 Nov (HS): MP Ujjwal Raman Singh, as the convener of the State Language
Parliamentary Committee, returned today after conducting a meeting in
Hyderabad. He was receiving continuous complaints from people, especially from
the minority community, that their names were being deleted from the voter
list; despite people's names being in the voter list, the BLOs were not giving
them photo forms; or instead of going door to door, the BLOs were sitting at
some influential person's place in some area to give and collect the forms. In
view of all these complaints, he reached Chakdundi Naini where people were
trying to get the forms after seeing their names in the voter list.
MP
Representative Vinay Kushwaha told reporters that where the people of the
locality were checking the voter list by placing benches and chairs, there was
no BLO. Immediately the MP got the call connected to SDM Karchana but he did
not pick up the call. When the Tehsildar Karchana was contacted, it was found
that a large number of forms were entered in some other column in Ubari village
due to which people will have to give affidavit again to get their names added
in the voter list. The MP asked the Tehsildar to get it corrected.
MP
Ujjwal Raman Singh said on SIR that it was implemented without giving proper
information to the public and even most of the BLOs and officials do not have
proper information about it. The MP said that there is no need for anyone to
panic, you should check your names in the voter list and fill the form and when
the time comes for adding new names, get the missing names added in it, no
injustice will be done to anyone, there is no need to panic, your fight will be
fought from the streets to the Parliament.
