Lucknow,
24 Nov (HS): The Minister for Khadi & Village Industries, Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises, Sericulture, Handloom and Textiles, Uttar Pradesh, Rakesh
Sachan, reviewed departmental schemes and programs on Monday at the Khadi &
Village Industries Board Headquarters, Lucknow. He stated that under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, employment-centric schemes
running in the state are continuously ensuring an increase in beneficiaries’
income, while a comprehensive strategy is being implemented to boost
entrepreneurship.
Emphasizing
effective implementation of the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, the Minister
instructed that toolkits must be delivered on time to every trained beneficiary
and that the quality of training should be regularly evaluated. He also
directed that active participation of public representatives be ensured so that
a larger number of traditional artisans can benefit from the scheme.
While
reviewing Khadi blanket distribution, the Minister directed that blanket
quality, procurement procedures and distribution mechanisms be further
improved. He said that instructions should be issued to all District
Magistrates to ensure that blankets provided under government distribution
strictly comply with prescribed handloom standards and that close monitoring is
done during distribution. Strict action must be taken against institutions
supplying non-standard blankets. He also instructed to modernize Khadi blankets
as per current demand and ensure large-scale distribution across districts.
Reviewing
progress of departmental schemes, the Minister said that proposals to make the
Chief Minister Mati Kala Rojgar Yojana and the Chief Minister Gramodyog Rojgar
Yojana more attractive should be approved at the government level at the
earliest, thereby increasing entrepreneurial interest. Along with this,
instructions were given to send a proposal to the government to assign 20
percent of the targets under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan to
the Khadi Board.
Minister
Sachan said that economic empowerment through entrepreneurship is the top
priority of the Yogi Government. The core objective is to ensure direct
delivery of scheme benefits to eligible beneficiaries and to expand livelihood
opportunities in every district. He directed officials to ensure timely
compliance of decisions taken and to regularly submit progress reports to the
government.
Regarding
the ongoing Khadi Mahotsav in Lucknow, the Minister instructed that empty
spaces in the venue be utilized by offering stalls to interested entrepreneurs
to provide them opportunity for showcasing and selling their products. He
further directed that regular monitoring of the festival be ensured and other
activities be kept active so that more people may benefit.
