
New Delhi, 25 November (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker, and Members of Parliament in celebrating Constitution Day at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan on Wednesday, November 26, at 11 a.m. The event marks the 76th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
The President will lead the ceremonial reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, emphasizing national commitment to democratic values and constitutional ideals. A highlight of the ceremony will be the public release of translated versions of the Constitution of India in nine languages: Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese—an initiative aimed at deepening constitutional literacy and inclusion .
Additionally, a commemorative booklet titled “भारत के संविधान में कला और कैलीग्राफी”(Bhaarat ke sanvidhaan mein kala aur calligraphy)spotlighting the artistic and calligraphic tradition of the Constitution will also be released during the programme.
Constitution Day will see nationwide participation through digital Preamble readings, a national online quiz, and creative competitions themed around constitutional values. Activities range from panchayat to parliament level, reaffirming the country’s commitment to its founding principles.
