25 Nov (HS): The Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit–I), Uttar
Pradesh, Prayagraj, organised a focused seminar on Digital and Hybrid Audit
methodologies and emerging AI/ML initiatives as part of Audit Week 2025, held
from 20 to 28 November 2025. The session was graced by the presence of Raj
Kumar, Principal Accountant General (Audit–I), along with Promi, Sr. DAG, Ravi
Kathuria, DAG, and Shri Lokesh Chaudhary, Dy. DAG, who appreciated the ongoing
transformation of the audit process through data-driven, technology-enabled
solutions.
During
the event, the Data Analysis Wing (DAC) delivered a detailed presentation
titled “Data-Based Hybrid Audit in the Artificial Intelligence Era – Risk
Assessment and Assurance through Emerging Technologies.” The presentation
showcased the complete workflow of Hybrid Audit, including data collection,
treasury dump restoration (Oracle 19c), risk profiling, analytical review,
AI-based enhancement, and integration of ML and LLM-based tools for
strengthening audit assurance.
The
seminar also highlighted recent achievements of the office during Audit Diwas,
along with insights derived from the Accountants General Conference held at New
Delhi from 16–18 November 2025, where digital transformation, hybrid audit, and
AI-supported audit governance formed key themes. The programme was anchored by Manoj
Sharma, Sr. AO (DAC), Vijay Kumar, AAO (DAC)—who has been nominated as AI
Enabler for the CAG Parakh
initiative—and Brijendra Bajpeyi, AAO (DAC). Their coordination ensured an
engaging and technically enriching session.
The
seminar concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthen data-driven
audit practices, automation-assisted verification, and adoption of AI/ML
frameworks, positioning the office at the forefront of the digital audit
transformation underway across the IA&AD.
