Vice President and Delhi CM Pay Obeisance at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib

Delhi, 24 November (H.S.): Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib on Monday to pay their respects on the solemn occasion of Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom anniversary. They were accompanied by Delhi's Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and other prominent members of the Sikh community.

In a post on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Gupta highlighted the historical significance of the shrine. She noted that it is the sacred site where the mortal remains of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, were cremated following his supreme sacrifice for the protection of faith, humanity, and religion.

Gupta remarked that the Guru's unparalleled message serves as a constant inspiration to remain steadfast in truth, stand fearlessly against tyranny, and always be prepared to defend the rights of every human being. This land of Delhi is a living witness to service, sacrifice, and cultural heritage, the Chief Minister stated.
