Lucknow,
24 Nov (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya targeted
opposition parties on Monday, claiming that those stirring up controversy over
the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise had something to conceal. Maurya,
who was co-incharge for the BJP in the last Bihar Assembly elections, stated in
a post on his official X account that the parties making fuss over the Special
Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists have'something to conceal'. Bihar has demonstrated that their position is
weak.
The
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won the Bihar Assembly elections by a
two-thirds majority, driving the INDIA bloc to the fringes. Opposition
politicians, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party
president Akhilesh Yadav, have accused the government and the Election
Commission of rigging the SIR process.
