24 Nov (HS): President Penpa Tsering of the Tibetan Government in Exile

(Central Tibetan Administration), who is on a visit to Lucknow, the capital of

Uttar Pradesh, attended a program on Monday as part of the Foundation Day week

of Lucknow University. As the chief guest, President Pempa Tsering addressed

the program organized on environment and security under the International

Lecture Tibetan Awareness Talk in the AP Sen Auditorium. He

described to audiences what the atmosphere was like when Tibet was an autonomous

nation, as well as how China is destroying Tibet's native shape, which is

extremely close to nature.

The

program was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Arvind Mohan. The

introduction was jointly provided by Professor Sanjay Gupta, Head of the

Department of Political Science, Professor Anchal Srivastava, and the program

was conducted by Professor Amit Kushwaha, Director of Cultural Affairs.

Tibetans, faculty members, and a large number of students participated in the

program.
