Mumbai, 24 Nov (HS): Veteran film actor Dharmedra passed away at 89 on

Monday morning. The last rites were performed at the Pawan Hans crematorium.

Born on December 8, 1935 Dharmendra Kewal Krishna Deol in Nasrani village of

Punjab, he worked the film industry for over six decades.

Pal of gloom spread over the film industry following the news of his

death.

A large number of film stars and his fans rushed to the crematorium to

pay their last tributes.

Dharmendra was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on October 31 for a

regular check-up. His condition started deteriorating from November 10 with

problems relating to respiratory system. His family members, wife Hema Malini, sons

Sunny, Abhay, Karan, Isha and Rajveer Deol were with his since then.
