Chennai, 24 November (H.S.) : DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth expressed confidence in the party's potential to make a strong mark in the upcoming Assembly election. Speaking during a visit to the Temple City late on Sunday night, she praised the party's foundation, stating that the DMDK emerged solely from the hard work and dedication of its founder, 'Captain' Vijayakanth. When questioned directly about the party's electoral strategy, Premalatha replied that nothing could be said about the alliance at the moment and assured the public that the decision would be announced at an appropriate time. She nevertheless exuded optimism, stating her belief that the alliance of which DMDK is a part will ultimately emerge victorious in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Beyond internal party matters, the General Secretary also addressed public interest issues. She emphasized the importance of implementing the Metro Rail project in both Madurai and Coimbatore to improve urban mobility and expressed the view that the central government should operate additional Vande Bharat trains to enhance connectivity within the state.
