Jaunpur,

24 Nov (HS): In Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, a woman committed suicide by hanging

herself after a dispute with husband in Kuchmuch village, under the

Gaurabadshahpur police station area, on Sunday night. The incident occurred

around 12:00 a.m. The deceased has been identified as Manju Yadav. According to

family members, the husband and wife had an argument over something on Sunday

night. Afterward, Manju locked the room door from inside and didn't even come

out for dinner. Around 11 p.m., Manju's 14-year-old daughter, Nandini Yadav,

went to call her mother and received no response. She peeped through the window

and found Manju hanging from a hook in the ceiling with a rope.

Upon

hearing the commotion, the family members broke down the door and brought down

the body. Nandini called her maternal grandparents and informed them, after

which her maternal family members arrived. Upon receiving the information, the

police arrived, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem.

Jai

Hind Yadav, a resident of the village, was married to Manju Yadav, a resident

of Asdhirpur in the Tarwan police station area of Azamgarh, about 15 years

ago. Family members said Jai Hind Yadav ran a small shop in the village, and

the couple often had disputes. The deceased Manju Yadav has three children:

Nandini Yadav (14), Harsh (10), and Chhotu (8).

Upon

inquiring about the matter on Monday, Gaurabadshahpur police station chief

Praveen Kumar Yadav stated that the case appears suspicious. He added that the

exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report. No

complaint has yet been received from the wife's maternal family. If one is

received, a case will be registered and further action will be taken.
