The impressive tally, which also includes six silvers and five bronzes, marked a new high for the nation at a major international boxing event.In a congratulatory message on the social media platform X, the Home Minister praised the contingent for their staggering haul of medals, which he said was lifting the pride of our nation to the next level.

Your hard work, commitment, and skills have paved an inspiring golden path for budding athletes, Shah added.

The finals, held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, saw Indian pugilists deliver a commanding performance, with all 20 competitors securing a place on the podium. The women's team was particularly dominant, sweeping seven gold medals.

The gold medalists included standout performances from top boxers like Nikhat Zareen (51 kg), Jaismine Lamboria (57 kg), and Preeti Pawar (54 kg).

In the men's division, Sachin Siwach (60 kg) and Hitesh Gulia (70 kg) added two more golds to India's tally, capping a stellar tournament for the host nation. The successful campaign underscores India's growing prominence in the sport on the global stage.
