Sri Anandpur Sahib, Nov 23 (H.S.): The Punjab government has launched a 360-degree mixed reality (MR) experience to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, officials said on Sunday. The initiative aims to connect the younger generation with the sacrifices and teachings of the revered Ninth Sikh Guru through immersive technology.
Visitors at the event venue can access the MR experience by scanning QR codes placed at multiple locations, enabling them to view the content on their smartphones. Officials said the effort symbolises a bridge between technological innovation and spiritual devotion.
The interactive journey offers a blend of virtual storytelling and real-world surroundings, portraying key episodes from Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life and martyrdom, designed to leave a lasting visual and emotional impact on participants.
The government hopes the initiative will inspire youth to understand Sikh history more deeply and appreciate the values of courage, sacrifice, and religious freedom for which Guru Tegh Bahadur laid down his life.
