Jammu, 23 November (H.S.): Jammu Police’s South Zone, continuing its intensified drive against illegal mining and seized several vehicles found transporting minor minerals without authorization.

In separate raids, Police Post Phallian Mandal seized a dumper and a tipper involved in unlawful extraction activities. Police Post Belicharana intercepted two dumpers loaded with ‘bajri’ being transported without valid permits or documents. Additionally, Police Post Gadigarh confiscated a tractor-trolley carrying illegally mined stones.

All the vehicles were found transporting material extracted from riverbeds and adjoining areas in violation of mining regulations. The District Mineral Office (DMO) Jammu has been informed for further necessary action.
