
Bhubaneswar, 23 November (H.S.): Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Charan Das on Sunday said that he held an extensive discussion with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday regarding the current organisational status of the party in the state. He shared the details while speaking to the media after returning to Odisha.
Das stated that several strategic aspects aimed at strengthening the Congress organisation in Odisha in the coming days were discussed during the meeting. The recent Nuapada by-election results were also reviewed as part of the deliberations.
According to Das, Rahul Gandhi instructed the state unit to further reinforce the organisation at the grassroots level and enhance overall political activity across districts. He further added that Rahul Gandhi advised him to organise various programmes related to the SIR issue in Odisha. “The Congress will work in the state as per his directions,” Das said.
