Guwahati, 23 November (HS): ULFA (Independent) leader Arunodoy Dohotiya has reportedly surrendered along the India–Myanmar border, according to highly placed sources. He is said to have laid down arms before Assam Rifles personnel on Sunday.
Sources further indicated that one of his bodyguards also surrendered with him. The other ULFA (I) member who accompanied Dohotiya has been identified as Fanchis Asom. Both individuals are likely to be brought to New Delhi for further procedures, the sources added.
