Lucknow,

23 Nov (HS): RSS Chief Bhagwat also spoke at the ceremony, claiming that India

was once the world's 'vishwaguru'. For a

thousand years, attackers stomped on it.

We were forced to live as slaves.

Religious sites were demolished.

Conversions were forced. All this

was present. Even back then, the name was

Bharatvarsh. He declared that those days of persecution and slavery are over. Wo

akraman, ke din chale gaye. Ab Ram

Mandir jhanda fehrane wale hain. (Those days of invasion have passed. We are now going to hoist the flag on the Ram

temple. It was India then, and it is still India now, he said. We are

Bharatians, members of a Hindu society and Rashtra. We must follow dharma,

carry out our obligations, and spread the message of service and sacrifice

throughout the world. Bhagwan Vyas

provided the essence of all traditions and wisdom, past and future, from

throughout the world in 700 shlokas of the Gita.

Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared that the RSS relies purely

on grassroots support and does not take foreign or institutional money. The

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is largely supported by voluntary

contributions from its members through a method known as Guru

Dakshina.

RSS Funding for Guru Dakshina: The organization's primary source of revenue

is members' annual voluntary contributions.

The amount is determined by an individual's capacity and devotion, with

no set amount anticipated or imposed.

No Foreign Funding: Yogi Adityanath has expressly declared that

the RSS does not get support from foreign institutions such as OPEC nations or

worldwide churches, and instead relies on the power of community.

Volunteers (Swayamsevaks): The organization's

activity is mostly carried out by volunteers (swayamsevaks), which reduces

operational costs.

Yogi

Adityanath & the Gita: Yogi

Adityanath regularly refers to the Bhagavad Gita and its teachings, describing

it as a divine mantra and a life guide. He has taken part in various Gita

Prerna Mahotsav events and has advocated for exposing the text's message

to a larger audience. He underlines that

the Gita Press (a prominent publisher of Hindu books that is neither directly

affiliated with the Gorakhnath Math or government-funded) runs independently,

following to a 100-year tradition of not accepting donations.
