Guwahati, 22 November (HS): To manage increased passenger demand, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has extended the periodicity of the Dibrugarh–Kolkata–Dibrugarh special train while retaining its existing schedule, stoppages and composition.

According to NFR, Train No. 05932 (Dibrugarh–Kolkata), which departs every Saturday at 17:00 hrs and arrives in Kolkata on Monday at 00:30 hrs, will now operate on 22 and 29 November as additional trips. Similarly, Train No. 05931 (Kolkata–Dibrugarh), departing every Monday at 02:30 hrs and reaching Dibrugarh on Tuesday at 06:30 hrs, has been extended to run on 24 November and 1 December.

Railway officials said the extension will ease pressure on other trains on the same route and benefit waitlisted passengers. Updated schedules and stoppage details are available on the IRCTC portal and NFR’s official media channels. Passengers have been advised to check the timings before planning their journey.
