Delhi, 22 November (H.S.): Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has concluded a series of high-level meetings in Israel, significantly reinforcing bilateral cooperation in agriculture, technology, innovation, and trade.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed in a statement on Saturday that Goyal's official visit on November 20-21 served to strengthen India's strategic partnership with the nation across all sectors. A key focus of the visit was enhancing agricultural collaboration. Minister Goyal engaged in extensive discussions with Israel's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Avi Dichter, reviewing the current status and future trajectory of their agricultural partnership. .

Minister Dichter provided insights into Israel's 25-year food security roadmap, its advanced seed propagation strategies, and its world-leading technologies for water reuse in agriculture. During his official tour, Goyal also emphasized deepening the economic partnership between the two countries. He participated in the India-Israel CEO Forum alongside Israeli Minister of Economy Nir Barkat, where he highlighted the strength, depth, and growing potential of the bilateral economic relationship.

Further engagements included interactions with Israeli media and members of the diamond community, which forms a foundational element of the India-Israel trade relationship.
