North 24 Paragnas, 22 November (H.S.): The blood-soaked body of a woman was recovered from a paddy field in the Sangbedia area under Matia police station in North 24 Parganas district on Saturday morning. The police sent the body to Basirhat Sub-Divisional Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Local farmers noticed the woman's blood-soaked body while working in the fields in the morning and informed the police. The police arrived at the scene, sealed off the area, and initiated an investigation.

A bundle of clothes and a bag were found near the body, but the bag did not provide any information related to her identity. The police are currently investigating the recovered items. A photograph of the woman has been sent to nearby police stations to help identify her.

Matia Police Station in-charge Vishwajit Sampui stated that the body of an unidentified woman has been recovered. The woman has multiple injuries on her body and neck. It's clear the case is suspicious. The investigation is underway in every direction.
