- Takes Stock of Bhupen Hazarika Centenary Plans and Swahid Divas Preparations

Guwahati, 21 November (HS):

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure a seamless and timely implementation of Orunodoi-3 and the LPG subsidy scheme so that benefits reach every eligible household without delay.

Chairing a video conference with all DCs, the Chief Minister also reviewed preparations for the inclusive programmes planned to mark the birth centenary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. He instructed officials to ensure that the initiatives appropriately honour the legacy of the Sudhakantha.

Dr. Sarma further assessed the arrangements underway for Shahid Divas, calling for coordinated efforts to pay fitting tribute to the martyrs of the Assam Movement.,
