Pune, 21 Nov (HS): A global gathering on theme ‘Shodh

Marathi Manacha’ (Search for Marathi Mind/Feelings) is being organised by the

Global Marathi Academy at Panaji (Goa) from January 9 to 11. The event will be

inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on January 9. Padma

Vibhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar, who is also the Reception Committee Chief, will

preside over.

President of the Academy Ramdas Futane informed the

media in Pune that renowned industrialist from Goa, Anil Khawte will be

honoured with Jagatik Marathi Bhushan Award, while film director, producer and

actor Mahesh Manjrekar will be awarded the Marathi Life Time Achievement Award.

Prominent Marathi persons will be honoured during

the three day event. A cultural programme by artists from Goa will also be held.
