Private Transport Office Robbed at Gunpoint in Odisha’s Sundargarh; Over ₹3 Lakh Looted


Bhubaneswar, 20 November (H.S.): A private transport office near Block Chhak in Koida was robbed at gunpoint around midnight on Wednesday, with miscreants fleeing with more than ₹3 lakh.

According to sources, a group of 7–8 masked attackers stormed into the office and held the staff at gunpoint. Four employees present at the time were reportedly overpowered as the assailants threatened them with firearms and sharp weapons.

The robbers then forced open a table drawer and took the cash stored inside. They also allegedly vandalized computers and other equipment before escaping.

Following the incident, two police teams, including personnel from Koida police station, reached the spot and launched an investigation. A search operation is underway to trace the culprits.
