Lucknow, 20 Nov (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the chief

minister of Uttar Pradesh, paid tribute to the renowned athlete Milkha Singh,

calling him a source of pride and inspiration for all Indians. He remarked that Milkha Singh's accomplishments

will always make the country proud, and that his life was an inspiration.

In a post on X, he mentioned, “A humble tribute

to the pride of Indian sports, the Flying Sikh, Padma

Shri Milkha Singh Ji, on his birth anniversary! His every step echoed

struggle, and every victory brought national pride. His journey from the dirt

track to the world stage taught the world that hard work is the ultimate medal.

In another post on X he expressed condolence on death

of Samajwadi Party MLA Sudhakar Singh. The post reads as follows: The passing

of Shri Sudhakar Singh, Honorable MLA from the Ghosi Assembly constituency of

Mau district, is deeply saddening. I offer my humble tributes to him. My

condolences are with the bereaved family. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant

salvation to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this

immense loss.
