Odisha Govt Extends Deadline for Aadhaar-Based e-KYC of PDS Beneficiaries Till December 31, 2025

Bhubaneswar, 2 November (H.S.): The Odisha government has extended the deadline for completing the Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification for beneficiaries under the National and State Food Security Schemes (NFSA & SFSA) till December 31, 2025.

In an official release, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department stated that the e-KYC process is currently underway at 11,827 Fair Price Shops (FPS), 314 Block Offices, and 64 Urban Local Body (ULB) Offices, where Ration Card Management Centres are operational.

The department assured that no eligible beneficiary will be deprived of food security benefits for not having completed the e-KYC process within the earlier deadline. It clarified that such beneficiaries will continue to receive their entitled Public Distribution System (PDS) commodities until the process is completed.

Beneficiaries who have not yet completed their e-KYC can visit their nearest Fair Price Shop or Ration Card Management Centre to complete the Aadhaar-linked verification before the new deadline of December 31, 2025.

The government said the extension aims to promote transparency, eliminate duplication, and ensure accuracy in the distribution of subsidized food grains, while protecting the rights and entitlements of all genuine beneficiaries during the verification process.
