Jagadhatri Puja celebrations are currently underway across Rishra. People from across the state are visiting Rishra for the Jagadhatri Puja. The police administration has also made elaborate security arrangements. Meanwhile, jewellery has been stolen from the idol of Goddess Jagadhatri from the pandal of the Jagran Club in Rishra. The incident came to light on Sunday morning when club members noticed the jewellery missing. Jagran Club Secretary Devbrata Chandra stated that someone stole the jewelry from the idol. The items used to decorate the idol were also torn off.
The police from Rishra police station arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
This incident has raised questions about the security of Jagadhatri Puja pandals in Rishra.
