Delhi, 19 November (H.S.): AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday condemned the viral video of Delhi blast accused Dr. Umar Muhammad in which he attempted to justify suicide bombings as a “martyrdom operation.” Owaisi said that killing innocent people is a grave sin and clearly terrorism.

Owaisi posted on X, saying that suicide is haram in Islam, and the act of killing innocents is against religion and the law. He said, “This is terrorism and nothing else.”

Owaisi also questioned the central government over the Delhi blast, asking who is responsible for failing to detect the terror network. He referred to Home Minister Amit Shah’s earlier claim that no local Kashmiri had joined terror groups recently and asked how this group emerged.

The viral video shows Umar openly defending suicide attacks and explaining what he calls a “martyrdom operation.”

The car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on November 10 killed at least 13 people and injured many. The car was driven by Dr. Umar, a doctor linked to Faridabad’s Al Falah University. He went missing a day before the attack during police raids, which led to the recovery of 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate and several arrests.

Police said Umar and another accused, Dr. Muzammil, had travelled to Turkey, where their handlers are believed to be based.
