Mumbai, 19 Nov (HS): Mumbai’s
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will remain closed for six
hours from 11 am to 5 pm on November 20. One of the busiest airports, which handles
950 flights every day is being closed for the annual maintenance work.
The Mumbai
International Airport Limited issued a statement informed about the closure for
annual maintenance undertaken after the monsoon. Given the possibility of
damage due to heavy rains and longer monsoon season, repairs are necessary.
Many operators have
either cancelled the flights or decided to use alternative airports. The
passengers are requested to check the timings of their flights before heading
to the airport.
