
Bhubaneswar, 1 November (H.S.): Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, is visiting Odisha today to participate in several important programmes in Bhubaneswar.
During his visit, the Minister will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of SiCSem, a semiconductor manufacturing unit, at Info Valley, Bhubaneswar. This project, aligned with the vision of “Make in India” and “Digital India”, represents a significant advancement in strengthening India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
Later in the day, Shri Vaishnaw will observe the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Odisha at Lok Seva Bhawan. The MoU aims to enhance railway infrastructure and improve connectivity throughout the state.
The Minister will also visit the Bhubaneswar Railway Station to review the ongoing redevelopment and modernisation works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
This visit underscores the Centre’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development, technology, and industrial growth in Odisha.
