Maihar (MP), October 4(HS): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Maihar on Saturday morning for a two-day tour of Madhya Pradesh, where he will offer prayers at the revered Maa Sharda Devi Temple and address senior functionaries of the organization.The RSS supremo reached Maihar railway station around 7:30 am and was escorted under tight security to the RSS office in Boss Colony. After a brief rest, he is scheduled to visit the famous Maa Sharda Temple, considered a Shakti Peeth and a major center of faith for devotees across the country.
Following the temple visit, Dr. Bhagwat will proceed to Uteli area in Satna district to address a provincial-level expansion camp where RSS workers and pracharaks from across the state will gather to discuss the organization's future plans and activities.
Security Blanket Over Maihar
Authorities have deployed stringent security measures for the RSS chief's visit. Maihar Collector Rani Batod declared the entire Maihar tehsil area a no-fly zone from 4 am to 8 pm on Saturday, imposing a complete ban on drones, paragliders, and hot air balloons. Violators will face strict action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.The temple premises have been cleared of regular devotees, with only a controlled number of pilgrims being allowed entry through the stairway route. The administration has cordoned off the temple complex, ensuring no lapses in the security arrangements. After the temple visit, Dr. Bhagwat's convoy will travel via Ram Path Gaman Marg to Satna.
Day Two:Inauguration and Public Address
On October 5, Dr. Bhagwat will inaugurate the Baba Mehrshah Darbar Sahib in Sindhi Camp, Satna — an important religious site for the Sikh community. He will also address RSS volunteers and the general public at BTI Ground in Satna.Satna Collector Dr. Satish Kumar S confirmed that all programs are under close surveillance, with special attention to traffic management and parking arrangements. Police forces have been deployed at all venues to ensure smooth conduct of the events.
