Delhi, 31 October (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh on Saturday, November 1, to commemorate the state's 25th anniversary by launching a sweeping array of developmental projects valued at over ₹14,260 crore. The visit, marking the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, will focus on transformative initiatives across key sectors including infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and rural development.

The Prime Minister's extensive itinerary begins with an interaction with 2,500 children who have received successful treatment for congenital heart diseases at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

Following this, he will inaugurate the Shanti Shikhar of Brahma Kumaris, a modern center for spiritual learning and meditation.A significant part of the day will be dedicated to strengthening democratic and cultural institutions. Mr. Modi will inaugurate the new, eco-friendly Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha building and unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He will also inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial & Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, a project designed to preserve the heritage of the state's tribal communities.

The cornerstone of the visit is the launch of major infrastructure projects aimed at boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.

Key initiatives include:

Rural Development: The Prime Minister will officiate the Griha Pravesh (housewarming) for 3.51 lakh homes completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and release ₹1,200 crore to beneficiaries. He will also inaugurate 12 new Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks.

Enhanced Connectivity: Foundation stones will be laid for a four-lane Greenfield Highway from Pathalgaon to the Jharkhand border, costing approximately ₹3,150 crore, and for the upgradation of several national highway segments in the Bastar and Narayanpur districts.

Energy Security: PM Modi will dedicate the 489 km Nagpur–Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline, built at a cost of ₹1,950 crore, to the nation. He will also inaugurate multiple power sector projects worth over ₹3,750 crore, including the Inter-Regional ER–WR Interconnection Project, to enhance grid stability and power supply.

Additionally, a state-of-the-art HPCL Petroleum Oil Depot in Raipur will be inaugurated.

Industrial and Healthcare Growth: To spur industrial activity, the foundation stones will be laid for two Smart Industrial Areas and a Pharmaceutical Park.

The healthcare sector will receive a boost with the foundation stones for five new Government Medical Colleges and a Government Ayurveda College and Hospital.
