
Guwahati, 31 October (HS): The Inter-Battalion Regional Level One Man Drill Competition-2025, hosted by the 1st Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), concluded successfully in Guwahati on Friday. The 2nd Battalion NDRF emerged as the overall winner after displaying outstanding professional skills and operational excellence.
The two-day event, held on October 30 and 31, witnessed spirited participation from the 1st, 2nd, 9th, and 12th Battalions, representing the eastern and northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and West Bengal. Participants showcased their expertise in handling advanced NDRF equipment and executing complex rescue operations.
The 2nd Battalion secured the top position for its precision, command and mastery over technical rescue drills, while the host 1st Battalion finished as runner-up.
Commandant of the 1st Battalion, H.P.S. Kandari, presided over the closing ceremony and congratulated all participants for their discipline, dedication and operational excellence. He emphasized the importance of such professional competitions in enhancing life-saving skills and preparedness for disaster response.
Kandari urged NDRF personnel to continue strengthening their professional expertise and uphold the force’s motto — “Saving Lives and Beyond.” The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the NDRF’s commitment to excellence in disaster management.------
