Nagon (Assam), 30 October (HS): A tragic incident occurred at Borhampur in Nagon district where two persons lost their lives after falling into an under-construction toilet tank.

According to reports, a mason named Bhaiti (around 35) fell into the tank while trying to remove a wooden plank. When house owner Montu Bordoloi (40) attempted to rescue him, he too fell in and killed.

Montu Bordoloi was serving as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Assam Police.

Police from Nagon reached the spot soon after the incident, recovered the bodies and started an investigation into the case.--------
