Oct (HS): On the first visit of Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan to
Varanasi on Friday, the Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security
arrangements around the newly constructed Dharamshala venue of the Natyakottam
Sanstha located at Sigra. Vice President CP Radhakrishnan is the chief guest at
the inauguration program of the newly constructed Dharamshala of the
Natyakottam Sanstha. The Vice President will inaugurate the newly constructed
Dharamshala which is ten stories high, has 135 rooms, can accommodate 500
people and has parking facility for more than 100 four wheelers, equipped with
state of the art facilities.
On Vice
President CP Radhakrishnan's first visit, Varanasi Police Commissioner Mohit
Agarwal told reporters that ten Z-plus security commandos and 45 soldiers will
be deployed for the Vice President's security. The CRPF will replace the ITBP.
The Vice President's fleet will include five bulletproof vehicles. Upon
entering Varanasi, zonal Deputy Commissioners of Police will be deployed with
their supporting officers.
He further
stated that the intersections, crossroads, and streets surrounding the newly
constructed Dharamshala will be closed shortly before the event. Access to the
venue will be granted only with a pass. Hotels, lodges, and public spaces
surrounding the venue are being closely monitored. Complete traffic
arrangements have also been made. Rehearsals have been conducted for the route
the Vice President's fleet will take to the venue.
