Land Transactions to Begin at Tehsil Offices in Odisha from November 1: Minister Suresh Pujari

Bhubaneswar, 30 October (H.S.): In a major administrative reform, the Odisha government is set to launch a new system enabling citizens to buy and sell land directly at tehsil offices from November 1, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari announced on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally inaugurate the initiative on November 1. In the first phase, the facility will be operational in 44 tehsil offices across the state, while the remaining 273 tehsils will be brought under the system by December, the minister informed.

Under the new system, citizens will be able to book slots online and complete the entire land registration process at their respective tehsil offices, eliminating the need to visit multiple departments.

Pujari said the initiative is aimed at simplifying land transactions, enhancing transparency, and providing greater convenience to the public.
