Delhi, 3 October (H.S.): The Central Government has extended the deadline for submitting applications under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for the textile sector till December 31, 2025.In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Textiles announced that the application window, which had opened in August 2025, will now remain open until the end of the year.

The scheme covers man-made fibre (MMF) apparel, MMF fabrics, and technical textiles, which have drawn strong interest from industry players. The ministry said a large number of submissions have already been received from these sectors, prompting the decision to extend the timeline. Interested applicants can file their proposals through the official online portal: https://pli.texmin.gov.in/.

According to the government, extending the deadline reflects both industry enthusiasm and growing confidence in India’s domestic textile manufacturing capacity. The ministry emphasized that the strong response highlights the potential of the PLI scheme to attract investment and boost the country’s global competitiveness in MMF and technical textile production.
