Lucknow, 28
Oct (HS): The double-engine government is continuously working to extend the
benefits of government schemes to the underprivileged sections of society. In
this regard, representatives of the nomadic snake charmer community met with
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun at Bhagidari Bhavan in Gomti
Nagar on Tuesday and apprised him of their various basic problems.
Representatives
of the snake charmer community raised the issue of lack of facilities like
electricity, water, toilets, pension, place for cremation and demanded that
families who do not have agricultural land should be provided lease under
government schemes. Minister of State Aseem Arun assured the community
representatives that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is sensitive towards the
upliftment of the community. Work will be done in a planned manner to solve
their problems. Under the 'Nomadic Development Mission', communities will be
identified and Aadhar, caste and income certificates will be made so that they
can avail the benefits of the schemes.
The program's
progress will be monitored regularly. Those who do not have land will be
assessed and appropriate action will be taken to ensure they receive their
rights. Present on this occasion were Surajnath, Rajkumar, Hindalnath,
Rajendranath, and several members of the nomadic community.
