Chandauli, 28
Oct (HS): The nude corpse of a missing six-year-old girl was discovered in a
stack of straw in a hamlet in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli on Tuesday, police
said, and investigators assume she was raped and then murdered. The event
occurred in a hamlet in the Alinagar police station area. According to the
authorities, the youngster was coming home with her grandma from her uncle's
residence on Monday evening. On the way,
her grandma paused to visit with an acquaintance, and the youngster wandered
ahead and vanished. Despite exploring the region overnight, her whereabouts
were unclear. Later on Tuesday morning, police claimed the child's corpse was
discovered concealed in a mound of straw in the property, just 20 metres from
the victim's home.
Local
officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police Anant Chandrashekhar,
arrived to the scene after getting information from the family. Bloodstains
were discovered on the victim's clothes near the scene, as well as empty snack
and biscuit packs, according to an official. According to the official, the
girl's corpse bore visible damage marks, and it is likely that she was raped
before being strangled to death. The corpse has been submitted for a
post-mortem, and a medical examination is being performed to determine the
cause of death, he said. Police
claimed three to four people from the same hamlet had been arrested for
interrogation. Additional SP
Chandrashekhar stated that every available aspect is being investigated in
order to conduct a complete and unbiased investigation.
