Oct (HS): A 30-year-old man reportedly committed suicide in Ballia district

after becoming depressed by his wife's unwillingness to return from her parent’s

home, police said on Tuesday. According to

authorities, Rahul Yadav hung himself with a rope from a tree near his home in

Jiutpura village on Monday night. His

relatives discovered the dead early Tuesday and notified authorities.

According to

local SHO Sanjay Shukla, a police squad arrived at the scene after being

notified and transported the body for postmortem examination. Rahul was the

oldest son of Komal Yadav, a PAC policeman stationed at Sitapur. He married twice—his first marriage ended

previously, and he married again roughly five months ago, according to

authorities.

According to

the SHO, Rahul had been requesting that his wife return home from her parents'

place, but she had refused. He

apparently took severe measures in response to this. The officer stated that an

investigation is underway.
