Lucknow, 28
Oct (HS): “Wahe Guru Ji Da Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Di Fateh. (The Khalsa belongs
to God, and victory belongs to God). Any historical story written on sacrifice
and martyrdom is a new inspiration not only for the present but also for the
generations to come. Today, we all are receiving this inspiration through the
Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra. Today, I participated in the program organized
in Lucknow to welcome the Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra of the holy 'Jode
Sahib' of the founder of Khalsa Panth, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and
Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. On arrival in Lucknow with the holy Yatra, Hearty
congratulations to Honorable Union Minister Shri @HardeepSPuri on behalf of the
people of the state and devotees. A tribute to the Sikh tradition...,” mentions
a post on X, penned by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who also
opined that Sikh Gurus' contribution to India's ancient traditions remarkable
and honourable.
On Tuesday,
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Hardeep Singh
Puri attended the ceremonial reception of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata
Sahib Kaur Ji's Holy Jore Sahib at Gurudwara Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib in
Lucknow. During the function, Chief
Minister Adityanath was felicitated at the Gurudwara for his presence and
involvement. The Chief Minister thanked Union Minister Hardeep Puri for the
chance to participate in the Guru Charan Yatra and attend Guru Gobind Singh's
anniversary festivities. He added that
seeing Guru Gobind Singh's and Mata Sahib Kaur's holy feet is a treasure.
“According to
Gurbani, wherever Guru Maharaja's holy feet fall, the land becomes as hallowed
as Rama Rajya. We are fortunate to be
able to visit the holy feet of Guru Maharaja and Guru Sahiba during the Guru
Charan Yatra. On this occasion, I offer
my sincere thanks to Union Minister because we are celebrating the 350th
martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur,” Adityanath explained.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance
of Sikh Gurus to India's spiritual and historical legacy, saying it was an honour
to be associated with Guru Charan Yatra. I am honored to be a part of this
spiritual occasion through the Guru Charan Yatra. Sikh Gurus' contributions to India's timeless
legacy are remarkable and admirable, he remarked.
The Holy Jore
Sahib, a pair of shoes belonging to Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, and
his wife Mata Sahib Kaur, is regarded as a valuable and precious relic. These priceless antiques have been kept by
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri's family for over 300 years, representing the
Sikh Gurus' lasting heritage. The Charan
Suhawa - Guru Charan Yatra, which began on October 23 at Gurdwara Moti Bagh
Sahib, will end on November 1 at Takht Sri Patna Sahib in Bihar, Guru Gobind
Singh's birthplace.
