'Leadership is About Creating Positive Impact,' Says CM Stalin at BIM Convocation

Chennai, 27 October (H.S.) : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, while addressing the 33rd graduation day ceremony of the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) in Tiruchirappalli on Monday, advised the graduating students that true leadership is defined not by one's position or salary, but by the positive impact they create. The Chief Minister was the chief guest at the ceremony, which saw 197 candidates receive their degrees.

Addressing the audience, CM Stalin emphasized the value of the degree, stating, The degree in your hand is not a piece of paper, but the fruit of your hard work and recognition of your knowledge and talent. He stressed the importance of continually updating oneself with the rapidly changing world, warning that a failure to adapt would result in being considered outdated.

The Chief Minister’s core message focused on the necessity of honing leadership skills. He advised the graduates to strike the right balance between achieving success and maintaining discipline. During the event, degrees were conferred, medals were presented to the top performers, and the CM also launched the institute's research incubation compendium.

The institute, which is approaching 40 years of academic growth, has also partnered with the iTamilnadu Technology (iTNT) Foundation to promote research and entrepreneurship in emerging technologies, aligning with Tamil Nadu's goal of becoming a global deep-technology hub.
